I would suggest that you pull the axles & check the u-joints. It's hard to evaluate them when they have a load on them ie fitted to the car, & it sounds like the axles have to come out now.
re early roto failure...? I'm the last one to blame parts for failure... but... in this case you have to consider it. Something would have to be really hosed-up back there to cause the rotos to fail that soon. Lots of junk parts out there. I don't know who you got the them from, you have to make that call when you source the parts. If they were QH, I would be suprised.
An example of junk parts, I'm building a 3.8 Jaguar engine right now (customer supply parts) & was check fitting the timing gear/chains yesterday & discovered one of the brand new chain guides had the rubber already separating!!! All of the guides are being returned, sourced better ones from a race supplier...
Let us know what you find

: Hi again..
: Just to check back in with you all.
: I've jacked the car up and checked
: it all out and I found nothing out
: of the ordinary except the right
: side rotoflex coupling has some
: rather severe cracks around the
: sleeves that the bolts go through.
: Could this be enough to cuuse the
: noises I was hearing?? Also, these
: rotoflex couplings only have about
: 5K miles on them. Why are they so
: badly worn?
: Thanks P.J.
