Posted by RHINO FISHERMEN: are too smart to be manipulated. If you want a fisherman's view, (the Large-Mouth bass tournaments for example), look up what tournaments have returned to LAKE NORMAN. OUR lake, (formerly known as the DEAD SEA...for skinny, light, none-tournament worthy fish) has recently received quality reviews for large bass, had two record fish this year and has had tourneys to return??? WHY? Ask a true diehard largemouth fisherman of the average catch (as a whole), within the last year(s)...ask a bass-fisherman, not a State employee. There's a difference between who you ask. If Norman, in the future, becomes a "good fishing lake", the NCWRC will eventually jump on the bandwagon...as I would in the same position - no offense intended. That's normal politics. As fishermen, we may not realize that normal politics can fall down to something as simple as fishing...but it can, and it is. Resources is a word that means money in simple terms. If resources are allocated and resources are assigned based upon centralized, impressionable priorities, then why should WE complain if we are not opionated and focused on EQUALITY??? If we accept what is PAST...THEN shame on us. FISHERMEN: Never forget that Political/State jobs are relative to taxes, influence, budget, industry and State/Regional relationships. Only the CONSTITUION protects a RHINO with an outlandish point of view of opinion...thank God some of our forefathers were from Scotland/England like me; born naturally against establishment...LOL!! Anyway, if a problem occurs with our lake, expect that the bait fish stocking will surely be blamed upon the NFA's proactive approach...watch for that, it will quickly surface and is on their docket to date. We appreciate your membership...for the LAKE, no us in any way!!! Negative Propaganda: Generally means that a response can be activated from a fearful, worrisome select few who can be aggregated based solely upon propaganda; providing distraction, delusion and potentially delay. We know our members think much deeper than that!! Negative propaganda and fear can create in certain circumstances, a collusion of people who, may choose to promote to do nothing and strive to block change of ANY sort. NOT OUR MEMBERSHIP!!! NFA members know the deal. As quoted recently in a publication of the head of the NCWRC, stocking and pro-active investigation is one of the strongest forms of biological survey...why then hasn't Lake Norman, one of NC's most heavily fished lakes, been the benefactor of such study...a stocking above what is past? I may be a simple hillbilly, but I don't get that part...??? If stocking is the best test according to the State, then why is Norman's stocking of State supplied bait so low...compared to being the largest impoundment in the State? I don't get the math. Those were our ORIGINAL questions in founding the NFA (RHINO, CLUBB & Rawhide). Guess that's why we formed the NFA and also why we are thriving/growing in members...Must be the fact that multipe others have the same desires, concerns and questions? - and All want answers NOW or All want to proactively to try effect change ourselves...since no one else will take action????!!!!! To answer reason, it's nice personally and reassuring that recently I (outside an any NFA perspective), took my oldest son (8) and three of his friends fishing and caught nearly 100 nice threadfin shad in less than 40 minutes. The boys liked catching the bait as much as they did the one stripe we pulled to the boat. Two years ago, catching that much bait this time of year was like buying an instant winning lottery ticket for 200 million dollars New York lottery...in one purchase. As busy as I personally am in my everyday business life, my personal goal was to get Norman to a point that I could go out and catch bait like this without having to hook up the boat, drive two hours to another lake and drive back to fish the next day to fish. That's straight up the truth... A

Don't pay too much attention to "the articles" - whether good or bad...that's usually just political jargon.
As a rally cry from non-supporters, we've gotten notification of brand knew NCWRC legislation that's apparently aimed at us to stop what we've already done...we think that's really cool.
