Posted by Reel on July 28, 2007, 2:43 pm I am also debating how we would pay out the prize fund. I would like pay out sixty percent of the prize fund to the point race champion. Then have a fish-off tournament for the boats who have fished at least five of the six tournaments with the other forty percent added the entry fee for this final tournament that would take place either the second or third weekend in April. Also I would like to have two trophies made for the point race champion and the fish-off tourney champion. Keeping in mind that all the rules and formats are debatable and negotiable please let me know if anybody has any suggestions or comments about any possible changes that they would like to see made to the system I am presenting whether it is the format, the rules, or the payout. Thanks in advance, Shane Reel The point system I would like to implement will work as follows: 1. First place points would be decided by the number of entries into the tournament. (total entries not just the boats in the point race)
72.154.21.137
The point system I am going to use this season will be a modified version of the old point system. I am thinking an extra ten dollars per tournament for the prize fund but since the money is to be collected separately I think we should pay all the point money in advance so that we won’t have folks backing out of the point race in mid-season. The money would have to be in by the second tournament. There are six tournaments so it would be sixty dollars to enter the point championship tourney. The money would be placed into a savings account and monthly statements will be available upon request.
2. Second place would be one point less for each position finished behind the first place boat. Third and on down the line would follow suit.
3. If the boat that wins the tournament is in the point race that boat would receive three bonus points.
4. Each boat that is in the point race will receive one bonus point for releasing their fish alive.
