Conquest of Steel are opening up the day - on stage at 4.15.
Other bands playing are Bloodstream, The Prophecy and Limehouse Lizzy headlining.
I'm sure there are plenty more bands to be added to that list.
: Any more news on who is definately playing,
: start times, etc

: It's £10 Adv, so most likely £12:50 on the
: door. Am getting a ticket, since i only live
: 5 min away.

: then??

: old, should be a cracking night, so do we

: It is indeed a shame that Rio's is to shut.
: Despite it's many flaws it has enabled me to
: see many of my favourite bands and to be
: able to play some great gigs with some great
: bands - it will indeed be missed, however I
: envisage quite a few trips there over the
: next few weeks.
:
: As John said in the news section there is to
: be a final all dayer on the 31st of March
: and Conquest of Steel will be opening
: proceedings at 4.15 pm before heading off to
: play Birmingham later that night.

: Too true John,
:
: I've seen some class gigs at Rios, I felt
: really downhearted when I heard it was
: closing down, it's been my main source
: (barring The Empress) of live metal
: entertainment now for about 15 years, but
: now they're both gone, boo bloody hoo. Just
: a bit more travelling to do to get to gigs
: in the future. When you think about it
: we've been really fortunate for a long time!
: It's only a shame either venue couldn't
: carry on.
