We're on FIRE at the moment and I can honestly say that the band is tighter than ever and running more smoothly than we ever have. There's a real buzz in the Displacement practice room at present and we're really working our arses off to produce the best possible music we can make - My fingers are literally aching from playing and I can tell you that every member of the band is really pushing our musical abilities to new levels. We hope to have our new CD, "DEMONS AT THE DOOR", available before our mini UK tour in April - We promise it will blow your ####ing heads off - I don't like being big-headed, but the new material is immense! We have reached new levels of brutality and have managed to expand into more technical areas. The songwriting has become a lot more melodic as well, and we're all working together on the riffs, arrangements and lyrics more than we ever have done beofore. The tracks for the new recording are as follows: "RULES OF ENGAGEMENT" - which is a song wrote by Karl about War Crimes. It's probably the longest of our new tunes and goes through many musical changes. "INJECT, INFECT, DISSECT" - an anti-vivisection song by Ben, very technical and thrashy. "NO EXCUSES" - this one is also by Ben and about 3rd World countries being ripped off by multi-national pharmecutical companies and war mongering. It's really heavy but also has a really cheesy riff, haha. "DEMONS AT THE DOOR" - a personal song from Ben that starts off very bouncy but you'll be suprised what happens next! It's Sick! "FALLING FROM THE STARS" - I wrote the lyrics to this about a dream I had about a comet hitting the Earth. It's a good mid-tempo song and is both heavy and melodic all the way through. "SELECTIVE INVASION" - another one from Ben, about countries being left to the wrath of dictators while others are invaded for their natural resources. The music is quite Death Metally for us to be honest. So that's the basic low down on where we're up to musically and lyrically - please stay posted for more info on when the CD will be avialble to buy.
