One from a '66 to '68 Mustang is the same identical unit.. It works just fine. Both are Ford "drop-in" 16 gallon tanks. Only difference is the falcon had a square wooden float originally,- I really could never figure out why..and the mustang has a brass round float originally, or a plastic round float (most repros). It really doesn't matter.. The functionality is the same. The mustang unit is a perfect replacement nontheless.. So you are good to go..
