Debbie I do not believe there is a public put-in for the lake.

There is a boat launch on Greenville Rd. It is a private residence, a large, old Federal style, white farm house. The older man will come out to collect a small fee, a few dollars, to launch. He has been doing this for years. My husband and I took our small bass-boat out many times from there several years ago. My husband and his brother did it again, recently, about a year ago. Waterman's lake can be very busy with speed-boats so be careful as to the date/time you select. Weekends are probably busiest. I wouldn't take my canoe there unless very early AM.
