wood river water levels

We are planning to kayak the wood river tomorrow and wondering if anyone knows what the water levels are, we will be trying the upper wood and was hopeing this early in the spring there would be plenty of water. I dont mind working too much but wondering if anyone has any knowledge, thanks

A friend of mine did it a couple weeks ago, and it had plenty of water. I'm sure it has dropped somewhat, but I'll almost guarantee it is passable, with perhaps a few scratchy spots. There are a couple trees across teh river that you will have to either go through or around, unless someone has cut them out of the way by now, so be alert!

thanks you, we did the trip today , went 7 miles with no problems or any tees that were too bad, then only tough tree was right after the barbersville dam. Looks like a dock had been washed down and settled across a tree. there were a couple of spots to get by though. The beginning was a bit scratchy but no problem though, a lot of fishermen out though

Did the upper portion (Rt. 165 to Wyoming Dam) yesterday (kayak)... Scratchy at start - lots of anglers by Fly Fishing area - but easily passable. Signs clearing had been done, in a few places, already. Levels look low, though, for this early in the season. Get out there while you can!
