Pelham Island Rd bridge in Wayland proved to be the low point of the trip, at least from a vertical clearance point of view. We both lay flat in our canoes managed to float under the low arch. Kayakers would need to portage over the bridge at this water level (8.3' on the Saxonville gage).
The sun came out as we finished the paddle - a nice ending to a great day on the water. With a few free afternoon hours remaining in an otherwise soggy, windy week, I built a campfire in the back yard and worked on canoe camping recipes for later in the season. Finished up right as the first rain drops started to fall.
