This year Cory and I are your de facto host and hostess with the mostest for the NH Armada and weekend activities.
We are at campsite 37(please note the change from last year). Feel free to stop by and say hi! We will be arriving Thursday 9/8 and departing Sunday 9/11.
For those of you arriving early, please join us on our paddling adventure Friday. We plan to paddle Bellamy Reservoir. It is a 333 acre reservoir that serves as the primary drinking water supply for Portsmouth, NH (read: no motorized vessels allowed). It is located just west of Dover, NH. The launch is at these coordinates: N43 11.814, W070 56.881 and it is approximately a 35 minute drive from camp. We will be leaving after breakfast (time TBD) and having lunch on the water, so please pack a lunch. Here is a link to one of the geocaches on the reservoir, for those who partake. It will help get you in the correct area.
Afterward, we plan to visit Tall Ship Distillery which is just a mile or two down the road (east) from the launch.
A very good friend of mine's cousin owns the place, so we thought we'd check it out. If that's not your cup of tea, the Kittery Outlets are ~20 minute drive from Bellamy Reservoir. There are lots of other sights this close to the seacoast.
Saturday morning we paddle Pawtuckaway Lake. There are some new caches out for this year, so the "plan", such that it is, is to grab those, make our way to the event, have some fun...and well, basically just have fun. We will be having lunch on the water this day too, so please pack a lunch. Here is the link to the event page for more info.
Saturday night we invite everyone to our site - site 37(again, please note the change from last year) - for a pot luck dinner. Please bring a dish to enjoy and share, chill by the fire while we eat, drink and be merry. Or something like that.
So far for the potluck, I know we have pulled pork, chicken chili, dutch oven potatoes and a dessert.
If you haven't made your reservations yet, there are still some sites available.
If I've forgotten anything or you have any questions, please let me know.
I don't foresee any weather issues for next weekend - the long range forecast looks great. See you all next week!
