Several people in the flatwater group were wondering about the blimp we saw to the north during the pre-picnic paddle. Yesterday, I got the answer. I was doing my once-a-year very-long-paddle, and saw it moored at the northern part of Quonset Airport. It had the Hood logo (the milk/ice cream company) on each side...a large red oval with "HOOD" in white letters inside. Guess it's an advertising blimp.
