Hi Everyone,
I'm wondering if those of you with experience in the Adirondacks can provide a little guidance.
I'd like to spend a week or so up there with my family this summer and devote at least a few days to canoeing. My family consists of my husband and I and our two boys, 8 and 11, and we have our own canoe, a Bell Northstar (17ft kevlar). (We're considering getting a tandem kayak, too, to cut down on the overcrowding.)
While Jon and I can handle long paddling stints, carries, etc, the kids of course don't have the patience to sit for endless hours in the boat, so that limits our options somewhat. Can anyone suggest which areas of the Adirondacks might be ideal for our situation?
