Hi All, Looks like a go for tomorrow. No Tstorms
til evening and we'll be off the river way before that. Do bring a windbreaker that is waterproof as there is a slight chance of rain,
but it looks like we could miss it too. The
river should be high so if you have a skirt
bring and wear that. The Millville rapids is
usually somewhat easier in high water but if
anyone does not want to do it they can walk their boat down the right side tributary there. I would like a volunteer and have asked one couple to park along Rt. 122 before the Triad bridge, which is before the Gorge take out, in
case someone needs to leave sooner after the
Millville rapids. I said River Bend put in but
we will actually put in next door behind the
medical center. The first stretch of river can
be challenging for some but it was fun last week, if you go with the flow in some spots while ruddering then paddling quickly in others.
We'll play follow the leader through narrower places. Let me know if you want to trade off with me as lead and sweep for safety if we get
a good number of folks. Look forward to seeing
everyone tomorrow. It'll take at least 20 minutes
to shuttle. Bring a drink, something manageable to eat, and hand sanitizer suggested.
