just to give an update. We kayaked the upper wood river from rt 165 to the wyoming pond on saturday. Had a great time. water level is perfect. not too many trees to navigate and never had to portage until the barbersvile dam. Also never had to worry about bothering the fishermen. And for the first time ever I saw a live beaver. he was not happy with us and gave us a warning with his tail 4 times. overall a great day.
