we have put in at the old tupper park with permission before. as far as i know there isn't public access. if anyone has different info please let us know. what you can do is put-in at cold spring park (directions are on this site) and paddle up river towards the gorge and against the current as far as you can.... which is not too far. if you are interested in paddling downtown woonsocket, you would put-in at river island park ( again look for direction on this site) and paddle the 5 miles to the manville dam(also called manville quarry). the problem with both of these two options is the water level at this time of year. it is just not doable with the levels now. what is doable now is to put in at manville dam and paddle upstream towards river island park and return.here the river holds its water well.
