I tried to paddle the Palmer River in Rehoboth, MA on August 6, 2006. I put-in next to the Rumford Rod & Gun Club on Providence St. About five minutes down river from the put-in site, the river is completely blocked by two large trees that were blown down across the river. I turned around at that point, but I'll also bet that there are more blow-downs further down the river. Man, this river needs someone with a chain saw!
