I have become aware of 2 issues- cars left at launch sites being 'broken into' for valuables and car theft! So keep valuables out of site and COVER THE VIN NUMBER plate on the dash of your car. Thieves copy the VIN # through the windshield,bring it to a dealer, have a duplicate key made and off they go with your car... totally undamaged and drawing no attention to themselves!
It is illegal to remove the Vin #- so just cover it up!
