Hi, The mark S.B.& C (S.B. & Company) refers to the Southwick Pottery, a company in the Sunderland area of England. They used this mark and SCOTT in the years 1838-1854, according to Geoffrey Godden's "Encyclopedia of British Pottery and Porcelain Marks." This is the very helpful standard reference work for English marks. Many pottery companies changed names and ownership over the years. Southwick descended from a pottery named Scott around 1800. Scott is a common name for various potteries, but this is the one you are looking for. Louise
