is it or isn't it the real deal

Hello, I bought some beautiful blue and white china at an auction because I thought it was pretty. When I got home I searched using the mark on the bottom. I then posted a question on another blog site ( I antique online) and the people who responded gave conflicting answers...one says their fake, another says |
"They are in fact a genuine set with the British Registry date number for 1898. This Stanley mark was used by Colclough (& Co Ltd) on Stanley Street in in Longton, an area of Stoke-On-Trent that became Royal Stanley in 1903. Most but not all potteries had incorporated England by 1898. They are the real deal. Congratulations!"
So now, I'm still confused. So I have since found this site and hope someone can give me a definitive answer. Thank you in advance.
