Hi there. I inherited a fair amount of flow blue, and am looking to sell it. I don't really know anything about it, except from what my grandmother used to tell me. (and am absolutely not interested in keeping it) I believe that the pattern is "Clarence" by W.H. Grindley, and in addition to a number of plates, cups, saucers etc., there's a gravy boat and a soup terrine. I'm in DC and I've been talking to various antiques dealers and auction houses, but I'm wondering if there's a better way to go about getting it sold. Any help any of you experts can offer is appreciated!

Ugh, pardon my spelling and typos above! I was in a hurry. I have a TUREEN not a terrine, and I'm trying to sell it not selll it. Thanks!

You might post a message on this bulletin board stating the pattern, maker and pieces available wth prices or at least a way to get in touch -- phone number, email etc.

That's just it, I have no idea how much to sell it for, or even to find out how much it's worth. As I stated in the original post, it's "Clarence" by W.H. Grindley, and I have: 4 butter pats gravy boat + resting dish tureen (handle broken off of lid) 4 small bowls (look like finger bowls) 5 cups and saucers 5 small plates (6in or so) 5 medium plates (8in or so) 5 slightly larger plates (10 in or so) I can be reached at nicholeaileen@gmail.com. For pricing, there are books at your local library, especially by authors Gaston and Snyder. You can also find prices at your local antique shops or mall. Sometimes you can find similar pieces in your pattern for sale on EBay.
