Hello, I have a platter that I'm trying to identify and sell. I can't find any information about it. I wondered if you may be able to help. Its 20.5 inches by 16 inches Blue and white turkey pattern Scalloped edge. With diamond mark R&M Co. Staffordshire, England I have pictures that I can send if you would like. Thank you for any assistance. Amy
Hi Amy, if the R & M is inside the diamond, it is probably Rowland & Marsellus Inporters of New York. Very often Rowland and Marsellus appear in a banner just below the diamond. Staffordshire England appears below the banner. Circa for R & W is from 1893 - 1933. Many (maybe all) of the pieces they handled are neither flow blue or Historical blue - in many opinions. Very often the R & W wares were classified as commemorative or souvenir wares. R & W wares appear on Ebay quite often. The blue Auld lang syne cups and saucers are fairly common to see. We have several flow blue turkey sets in various pattern but we have never seen one by R & W. I expect it would be quite pretty and there should be a market for it. Possibly it is considered transfer ware? I wish you well on the sale and I hope this helps. Jerry
