Help! Does ayone know what the 1, 4 etc above "RICHMOND" indicate? Ditto for the F B below. I will be selling my fairly complete set of Richmond pattern china, and some single pieces of H.W.Grindley (Gir???, etc), and an extremely old piece of Wedgewood Ironstone (Chapoo) that was passed down through the Berry women for at least 300 years! I have broken four pieces in 5 months due to arthritis. Is there a web site that shows what various Paterns and pieces of China are worth? Hopefully I'll sell them before I break everything!

Hi Beejie, I believe the numbers you refer to are not important to the piece today. I think the numbers were an employee number or a tracking number used at the time of making. Sometimes, a more complete number will be painted on (often in red) and will be the date of when the piece was produced. Good luck on your sale. The best way to determine pricing is watch Ebay or auctions. It is very difficult to do price comparisons due to so many different patterns and condition - supply and demand are important. Jerry

I believe the imprinted F B stands for Flow Blue, but I'm not entirely sure...
