Can anyone tell me something about variations in the Dainty pattern? Some flow is light blue and nearly white on both the back and front, other, obviously older pieces, have deep flow and vibrant blue with a light blue glaze on the back of the piece. I am considering purchasing some pieces that are lighter weight and light flow with start white fronts. They seem different than my older pieces. Has dainty been reproduced?

While I don't know if Dainty has been reproduced, it is very common for the same pattern to be used with different types of transfers. Flow blue is a deep cobalt transfer, but transferware dishes were made in light blue, green, red, brown, black, purple, lavender, and so forth. You may be looking at the same pattern, but one is flow blue and the other is a light blue colored transfer.
