Hello,
I'm an FB newbie, and have spent the last several days researching Flow Blue, Transferware, English pottery & porcelain, etc. in preparation for listing my mom's collection of blue & white pottery/china for auction on eBay. I posted this notice on their Pottery & Glass Discussion Board and someone there suggested I put the question to you folks!I noticed that one of her plates, made by Cauldon England, has one Registry mark incised in the body of the plate (183243, the correct one for the design, according to a compote I found on eWolfs.com) and a different one (199552) stamped in blue underglaze. I googled that one, and the pics show a completely different design.
Is this unusual? Does it impact the plate's value? It's in otherwise excellent condition, with the exception of a tiny 2mm chip on the rim...
Thanks for your help & opinions!
