Hello Bobby, my wife and I just returned from the FBICC national convention in Indianapolis. There was a Amoy child's teapot, creamer, sugar, cups, saucers and plates for sale in the auction - they were sold separately. There were also a number of other Amoy pieces for sale in the Auction, Flea Market and the Sunday Table sales. Many plates, cups and gravy boats seem to have been for sale this year. The prices for the children's pieces were very reasonable - my wife and I considered bidding on the Amoy children's pieces. There were also MANY early patterned full size teapots, creamers and sugars for sale in the various events. In addition, there were several folks who attended that collect the early patterns - such as Amoy. Many people network with others to share information and sell/trade between themselves. I think Jan was pointing out there are great benefits to attending the local regional meetings as well as the national convention. Next year the convention will be in Rochester NY in July. The older patterns will be featured next year. Many of our members on the eastern coast collect early patterns of flow and mulberry. The clubs (5 editions per year) Blue Berry Notes newsletter is also a place to advertise for specific patterns and/or pieces. Only a small percentage of our membership read and study this website. You could reach more people and find more people who collect and sell Amoy by doing the things I suggested. The cost is only $39.00 per year to be a member. There is nothing better than buying a rare piece of flow from another member of the club - in my opinion you are far more likely to be told of damage or restoration. This year the juryed auction had 421 lots for sale. The Sunday Table sale had about 70 tables full of flow blue and mulberry for sale - some of the best and rarest pieces are to be seen there. However, the best part of the convention are the people - where else can you find 240 friendly people who are interested in the same things you are? Best of luck in your collecting, Jerry Taylor PS The educational classes are GREAT!
