I have a what I think is a soup plate of Flow Blue that the pattern looks like a wicker or something and the mark on the back says STAFFORDSHIRE ENGLAND and it has a W inside a diamond shape and also has a AB branding mark in the pottery. Can anyone please assist me in identifiying this peice , I have gone to the libary and searced in alot of books and all that I can find is that the W inside the diamond shape could mean that it was made around 1865. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Annette! Without a photo of your soup plate, I would only be guessing as to the pattern name. The mark you describe is that of the W.E.Corn pot- tery, Top Bridge Works,Longport.Staffordshire potteries. At Burslem,c.1864-91 The pattern name is not always included in the mark.
