Hello Darcy, Your dish sounds interesting and a lovely item. The henna coloring (terra cotta) and green are usually considered polychroming or over painting. I would be perhaps concerned about the mark as the royal stamp has been used so much in reproduction work. If you want to send me a photo of the top and bottom I might be able to give you more information. My email is ellenk2@earthlink.net.
