When you use the "zoom" feature on the photos, you will see some crazing and some slight wear to the gold around the edge of the lid that is consistent with age. The wear could be minimal because that particular piece didn't get used much. Sometimes it's just that simple.
The thing that says "authentic" more than anything else to me is the red decorator's number under the lid. My experience is limited, but I've never seen that particular type of mark on a reproduction piece.
