Hi Deborah - the mark you describe is for T.Rathbone & Co. Newfield Pottery, Tunstall, Staffordshire Potteries and with the Swan would date from around 1912 - Oxford would be the pattern name - the marks in gold were often of the factory worker that did the gold embellishing - although sometimes the numbers were for the pattern - You have to be careful when purchasing items with this mark as it is one of many that the reproduction factories have hi-jacked to use on their items but the giveaway so far has been that no matter what the design of the items the pattern name is always Victor - and the Co. on the reproduction items looks very much like cox.- hope this helps - Jackie
