Hi Chris, there is great opportunity soon to see more flow blue, mulberry and polychrome in one place than anywhere else in the world. The FBICC National Convention will start on July 30th in St. Louis MO.. Membership to join the club is only $39.00 per year which entitles you to many flow blue advantages for a collector. The convention will last for 3 days with an optional 4th day. The price to attend the convention is very reasonable - we are a not for profit club. At St. Louis there will be a: 400 lot jurored Auction, a Flea Market, a jurored Table Sales event, educational classes and displays. This is a great time to network with other collectors for older pieces, certain patterns or certain potters/shapes. The club conventions are always held in a larger hotel due to the large number of tables needed for sales and displays. Several flow blue and mulberry dealers specialize in the 1840 to 1860's patterns and potters. We have "First Timers" as well as those who have been collecting for many years at the conventions. We value all members, but First Timers are our honored guests and we try very hard to make everyone feel welcome and part of the group. Please see the home page of this web site for more information. If you are a member already and have not been attending the conventions, you have been missing a real treat. Many people vacation and antique around in the area of the convention to fully enjoy the time away from home. The folks who attend are very friendly, helpful and are the source of alot of the blue you seek. There is nothing like seeing a large number of 1840's teapots lined up for sale at Table Sales - many different patterns and potters. We usually have 60 to 70 tables of flow/mulberry and polychrome for sale at the Table sales event. It's a must see event for those who love history and flow/mulberry and polychrome. The Flea Market is an event where items less than $75.00 are for sale - there are many tables of items for sale. Last by not least, our club newsletter is a good place to advertise to buy or sell items. Our paper is published 5 times per year and is outstanding in content - to include articles and photos. Whether you come to admire the wares, visit with friends or to buy the hard to find pieces - we hope you will attend. Club membership applications and Pay Pal are available on this site. Happy hunting, Jerry
