This was my grandmother's mothers? Anyway, I wrote to the very nice Jon Houserman here, and he suggested I post this. I have a LaBelle biscuit jar according to the library book I got. Gaston's? It was a perfect photo match, and that also had a lid, which I don't have, and we never did have as far back as I remember. I didn't even know it was supposed to have one. It is in excellent shape, according to an appraiser at an appraisal fair type gathering. As I'm the end of the family, I'm really looking to sell this to someone who knows what it is and will appreciate it rather than some yard sale reject if/when I'm gone. I'd like to have the lid, of course, if anyone has one, but certainly don't expect anyone to write me back with THAT news. But if someone is interested in purchasing, I'd be glad to hear from them. Thanks all!
