Hi Burma, according to Flow Blue & Mulberry Handbook III (Kobach & Glendenning 2002) there are at least 4 Flow patterns named "Homestead". Since England is with the potters mark it is PROBABLY By J & S Meakin. The makers/potters mark is the critical piece of the puzzle and would show a great deal. If you want you can send a clear photo of the potter's mark. It is very important to acquire some good reference books that show marks - one such is by Kowalsky and is titled "Encyclopedia of Marks". Two of the other Homestead patterns seen are by unknown potters and one is dated at 1850. IF your set is by Meakin, it is dated 1909. There may be members of this club that know volumes about this pattern if seen. Perhaps, if you join the club for 39.00 per year you could bring one of the pieces to our national convention and I feel sure you would find out lots of information about your set. Our newsletter, regional meetings and national convention are weighted heavily on educational classes and presentations. We are currently working on a pattern identification section that will be added to our web site for members - this will be very valuable when researching patterns. The large pitcher and bowl you have are only part of the complete bath set. The fun is now trying to find the other bath set pieces - many of us enjoy the hunt of finding pieces to complete sets. THis club is a great place for networking. I hope you enjoy your wonderful pieces, they are truly part of history. Do consider joining the club - you will be most impressed and have a great deal of fun. Jerry
