Hi Beejie, I believe the numbers you refer to are not important to the piece today. I think the numbers were an employee number or a tracking number used at the time of making. Sometimes, a more complete number will be painted on (often in red) and will be the date of when the piece was produced. Good luck on your sale. The best way to determine pricing is watch Ebay or auctions. It is very difficult to do price comparisons due to so many different patterns and condition - supply and demand are important. Jerry
