The term SOL merely represents a factory trade name. It represents a line of product as opposed to a pattern. This can be frustrating at times when its the pattern name that you are really looking for. This quite often is the case with some potteries as they are trying to sell a line of ceramics as opposed to a particular pattern. There is hope though. In many case, when a trade name is listed, the real pattern name is printed in blue block letters somewhere else on the underside of the dish. Check yours, and good luck. Bill
