Mark,
The Inter-Tel 3000 ("I3K") supports direct voice T1/PRI integration only. In other words, a voice T1/PRI may be directly connected to the system's T1/PRI port. DID service, employing a PRI and using this method of integration, is supported. The I3K does not support integrated access (voice and data) T1 integration.
Your only option with the I3K for an integrated access T1 (dynamic or static voice channel allocation) would be to have the T1 correctly provisioned for, and connected to, an Integrated Access Device ("IAD") at your premise. This connection would occur before the I3K. The IAD would include: a) an 8P8C modular ethernet jack port for connection to your network; and b) a port (normally a multi-pair, possibly 25-pair, centronics connector) arrangement providing distribution of multiple simulated analog Plain Old Telephone Service ("POTS") circuits for connection to the I3K's standard analog POTS trunk ports. This would not involve the I3K's T1/PRI connectivity or technology.
In the option I have just outlined, employing a T1; IAD; simulated POTS lines; and connection to the I3K via its analog trunk ports, DID service would not be an option.
Good luck with your project!
