Connection to T1

I am an amatuer helping set up an EncoreCX to a non-profit grocery store. They are hooking to a T1 (they want multiple lines in). I am not sure what to expect from the phone company or what to hook into. That is that part that concerns me most - I think I will be able to get the Encore programmed fine, just curious how difficult it will be to get 'the dial tone' (or tones) from the T1. Should I start worrying or?
