I never thought it would come down to this but I am now forced to rehome my horse. She is a 14 year old Peruvian Paso/Pasa Fino cross. She is the best horse as far as temperment that I have ever met. She has never kicked, bit, striked, nolted, reared, or bolted EVER. I've never even seen her put her ears back. She is trained western & english and is an awesome kids horse. She is totally bombproof. She is good with all other animals and has never caused me any problems. She is totally low maintenance. She doesn't test fences & you can catch her even if she's loose. The only catch is she has severe arthritis that supplements don't help & locking stifles which make her unrideable & unbreedable. She is the low man on the tomem pole & is a great babysitter for weanlings or pasture mate for anyone. She is about 14.2 HH & 850 lbs. She has not been starved and will not gain any weight. We have tried to fatten her up for a year & nothing works. I have just left me husband after 17 years in an emotionally & physically abusive marriage & find myself without property to keep my horse on or the funds to find a place for her to stay. I have tried contacting hundreds of rescues but they have no room for her. I am extremely worried about giving her away becuase of the slaughter threat (even though she has no meat on her body) but my ex has said that if she ins't off his property by the first then he's going to shoot her. We will be very selective as to where she goes & only the very best home will do for such a sweet horse. So if your looking for a horse for the grandkids to groom & to keep your horse company then she's the one for you. Please e-mail me & tell me a little about yourself & your phone number & I will call you if you sound like a good home for her.
