I agree 100 and 10% to what you have said,and to that this is what i think. Every breeder and owner should at least 1 in there life go to a major slauter auction and see what over breeding is doing to horses. People belive that if a is at an auction then something must be wrong with it. That is not true horses are sent to the auction and slautered every day becaues there are just not anough homes for all the horses people have created. Rescues are not the ones who created all the horses yet every one wants them to save them all. As much as I am greatfull to rescues I wish there were anough good homes for all the horses in the world that rescues were not needed but, alot of breeders dont know the sad truth to breeding. That is OVERPOPULATION!! it's sad but, it's true. If more breeders know what there foals end to life would be then maybe they would put more thought into there breeding programs. If there were less foals being born then maybe just maybe, in years, we could get to a point that slaughter was not the way goverment had to deal with over population of horses. In that to end I just want to say this Slaughter is mass murder but sence the goverment make profit on it then it is not a crime but something just frowned on and that is WRONG!! --Previous Message-- : The following is an e-mail message I : sent out to several horse rescue : e-mail lists today.
