Attention anyone interested in saving a horse or two.......
Next weekend, Feb. 11, 10:00 am, Canandaigua, NY. The finger Lakes Livestock Exchange is hosting an amish/mennonite horse auction. They have never done one in the winter before, I fear for the future of the horses sold. In the summer, there were horses selling for as low as $35. All the dealers are there, many will go to slaughter, I fear. If you are local and would like to do a good deed, please try to come and take one home with you. There are many drafts and standardbreds, but also other breeds and grade riding horses/ponies. The more well meaning people who buy, the less there is for the dealers to take! If you have questions or need directions, you can email me personally.
