I have had horses my whole life, but I am always willing to learn more about feed. My three older horses always start to drop weight in the middle of the winter. They are roughly between 12-20 yrs old. They have good quality hay at all times. I feed Triple Crown senior and Reliance 10. They are all dewormed regularly. I have used beet pulp in the past with no success other than a mess. I have started adding veg oil slowly to their ration. I am wondering how often I increase it and to what amount they can get. Dont want them to get the runs. Any info or links would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
