Looking to start an Equine Rescue in Northern California

I was wondering if any body could point me in the direction of information and resources. I would like to start a non-profit equine rescue in Northern California. What I am looking for is grants and loans for land. While I have found one for rural development, this loan is for single families and would not buy the required acreage needed for horses. If anybody could supply any information, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your time, Amber
