James Marvell's Pop Sal is pictured here with Willie Nelson in this early 90s photo. Sal brought Willie a special gift from Tampa Florida and they smoked it! ( Sal turns 97 in October )
The new Marvell hit "Did Pop Smoke With Willie?" was written last year by James and his wife Faye and released on Ready Records and Empty Sky. The song will be reshipped in June to over 1,000 country stations in the U.S.A. on ALL AMERICAN RECORDS.
"Did Pop Smoke With Willie?" is a true story about the days when Marvell was entertaining in Branson Missouri at the Willie Nelson Ozark Theater. It's a 'G' rated novelty song.
