Hello Friends:
“NOTHING TAKES THE PLACE OF PERSISTENCE”
The Fox Mountain Country Music Festival has achieved a highly successful growth rate in 5 short years to where it is in today’s marketplace through the hard work of a talented group of people. In all honesty, there is no secret formula. An image was created and promoted to like minded people. Being persistent, defining the target audience, and using past experience all played a major part. The goal here wasn’t to satisfy everyone, but to create a class product. You can’t bend over backwards to please everyone. Taking short cuts doesn’t always work. We have made a few mistakes and quickly learned from those and even better that you supported us.
Practically all one hears about these days is how poor the economy is doing. All of us, staff and volunteers are working very hard to ensure our ongoing success. Once you set foot on the camping grounds its part of you forever. There is a bond that connects all of us who have experienced the festivals and a type of magic that calls us back year after year. It’s a great way to keep in touch and reacquaint with both friends and entertainers.
We’d like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank our patrons for your enormous support. Thank you for coming back year after year. Thanks to our financial supporters and in-kind contributors. Please patronize these generous businesses. Thanks to everyone who helped at and attended the festivals and made them such great events. We heartily thank you. You might say we’re “ALL FIRED UP” and waiting for you to line up at the gate again this year.
What Do We Do???
We continue to showcase both up-and-comers and those who have already reached more than a few rungs up the ladder to success.
Check out this year’s line up at www.foxmountaincampingpark.com/countrymusic and check out some of their music.
We have ECMA Nominee- Rik Reese and Neon Country from NB. They are a band to watch in the future as their Canadian Star rises. From Ontario we are so pleased to have back the Bowes Brothers. Other bands to watch are Mark Cameron, who recently shared billing with Gretchen Wilson and Keith Urban. The Montana Band is made up of seasoned musicians some of who have backed such artists as John Allan Cameron and Faith Hill. Nova Scotia Country Music Hall of Famer, Don Haggart will perform some of his greatest hits. Triple Time is headed up by none other than Frank Lowe, 780 KIXX Country Personality, his wife Nancy and former 780 KIXX Country Winner, Ruth Manning. Watch for up and coming band, Roadhouse. There is always a spot to showcase individual artists backed by Total Country. This year those artists will be Dan Mason, Glenda Pennell, Melinda Naugler, and Michelle Colp along with 780 KIXX winner Josh Macumber and CMT Karaoke Maritime finalist, Jordin Wentzell, both from N.S. Completing the Sunday Gospel line up are the ABC’S, Southwind, Don Haggart with Wayne Petrie and friends, and Country Harmony. A few more entertainers are yet to be confirmed. Joyce Seamone, 2009 Mainland Nova Scotia recipient of the ECMA Stompin’ Tom Connors Award, and the holder of a Gold Record for Testing 1-2-3 and her band Total Country host this weekend with great pride.
Come to Fox Mountain Camping Park and have a fun-filled weekend. For four days forget the hassles of everyday living. You are the backbone of our festival. There is nothing we like seeing more than the smiles on the camper’s faces. And don’t forget, the best compliment we can receive is your referrals to your family and friends.
To those who have already booked their sites, you have till July 1st to pay for them before your site would become available to someone else. Tickets are only available this year at two places, through me and the office at the park.
Until next time, my personal thought for today is: “Nothing takes the place of persistence”.
