Hello Friends:
A short lesson: An ezine is a periodic publication distributed by email or posted on a website. The word "ezine" or "e-zine" is a contraction of "electronic magazine". That suggests that the correct pronunciation should be "ee-zeen" rather than "ee-zyne" or "ee-zign" (as in "design").
Christmas and New Years Day have come and gone and in a few days it will be Feb. Is it just me, or does it feel to all of you that we seem to be on a merry-go-round that goes faster and faster with each passing year?
We’ve certainly had our share of old man winter in my neck of the woods so far this year. Right now the furnace is stoked with wood and its nice and warm inside. However, as I type this, outside it’s not so nice. We are getting another major storm, 10-15 cm, of snow, changing over to freezing rain near mid-night, and rain tomorrow. I want to send this ezine out before this weekend to say that, although it might be winter, I’m heading to Exhibition Park Halifax, in the morning, to the annual RV Show. It runs from Jan. 29 to Feb. 1. Beat those winter blahs and if you live in the vicinity of the trade show, come and spend a few hours browsing. There will be lots of camping units from small to large, to tease all those camping enthusiasts as well as all the latest camping related items to tickle your fancy. I have a booth there and will be promoting the Fox Mountain Country Music Festival as well as giving away RV Lifestyle Magazines latest issue. They are one of my major sponsors for Fox Mountain County Music Festival. Come and chat and find out who will be entertaining this year at the 6th Annual. If you can’t make it out to the Trade Show, check out the website for a list of entertainers. I have it almost completed.
Once again, I can’t thank you enough for the support you have given the festival over the past 5 years. It is greatly appreciated. One thing we have is lots of heart and soul. I still believe in taking baby steps, one at a time, and it will serve us well in the long run.
Until next time, my personal thought for today is: “No matter how down and out a person gets, all it takes to put things in perspective, is to look around and see that there is no end of people much worse off than we are. Use this as a positive, to bring us out of the doldrums and turn our lives around. “
