Kill Krew

Anyone else think Gage and Slott have gone too far with the Krew? The Skrull head on the barbecue was way more disturbing than the Initiative had been before. This might have worked tonally in the great mini back when (and I believe they killed off the wrong team members between appearances personally) but it was jarring here and has changed somewhat how I cinsider this book.
