I was making a new outfit with some fabric that made me think of lilypads. And that made me think of frogs. And that ... well let's just say I got a little silly and went on a flight of fancy with the following results ...
Tulabelle came home to find a large box waiting for her with "Only True Love's Kiss" written on the lid.
"What?"
Tulabelle opened the box to find the biggest bull frog she had ever seen! Actually it was the only bull frog she had ever seen in person, but it seemed really big! She thought back to her childhood and Grandma Poppy telling her the story of an enchanted prince who was forced to live in the form of a frog until his true love kissed him. How she enjoyed her Grandma's tales!
Even so, this must be a joke! One of her friends? Maybe it was from her Godmother Darla who was always telling her that a girl might have to kiss a lot of frogs before she finds "THE ONE". Perhaps it was from her grandmother's friend Ginger with her wicked sense of humor and a penchant for playing pranks.
As she stood there considering who might have sent it, Tulabelle would swear the frog was looking at her with pleading eyes and puckered lips! What if the old fairy tale was true? What if it really was a prince. Soft-hearted Tulabelle couldn't leave him like that, could she? But what about the requirement for "true love"? Well her name was Tulabelle True, wasn't it? And she had plenty of love for human- and frog-kind, didn't she? It must be "true love" if she was actually considering kissing a frog, right? …. Right?
Never one to run from a challenge, Tulabelle pulled the frog near as she closed her eyes and puckered up …
