Today we will look at the last of the BMR offerings. Sadly, this wonderful series didn't last very long but it ended with a nice fashion and a great gift set. Both sets shown today were sold in stores.1997 BMR Collection, Snow Chic - So Chic, stock #19772- A fun ski set perfect for the slopes.
The jacket has a working front zipper, and funky silver mittens add some sparkle.
More sparkle underneath the jacket with this day-to-night top in black and silver.
The top by itself along with the stirrup pants, and the ski boots which clip on.
A close-up of the accessories. The large tote bag has a drawstring closure but the strings also form backpack-type straps in the back. I included the feet in the pic to show the stirrup details on the pants, and one of the ski boots has been unclipped and opened up to show how that works.
1997 BMR Collection, Pinstripe Power, stock #19791- This was a gift set that included the doll with the short strawberry blonde hair on the right.
The BMR logo scarf is a nice touch. I just wish it draped a bit better.
To better show the vest top and the 3-strand necklace that was included.
The accessories. There was also a BMR logo on the small white purse. The coffee cup has a small prong meant to fit into Barbie's ring finger hole so it looks like she's holding it. Harder to see is the little wallet which matches the larger tote bag, and it also has a darling little gold key attached to it. A newspaper was also included.
So while this completes all the BMR Collection fashions and gift sets, Barbie Collectibles did continue to put out nicely boxed detailed fashions as BC exclusives for several more years. Since I've stored all these fashions together, we'll take the next few weeks to look at the Barbie Collectibles exclusive fashions.
