I do love to sew for my fashion dolls, although I don't sit down at my machine very often. At home, I'm really lucky to have a room to myself...it is my computer/sewing/doll room. I didn't take photos of the enire room, because there are so many piles of stuff on the floor right now, that it is too embarassing to show! It's kind of small, but it's all mine! Here's my desk, where I'm sitting now and where I do my work...oh, yeah! I am a web designer. I started doing that part-time after I quit my Loyola job. I've been designing web sites for 8 years now...my little company is called "The Well-Wrought Web" - and here's my web site (in desperate need up updating, but you can see my portfolio if you are interested): www.wellwroughtweb.com And this is the wall opposite my desk...this is what I look at while I'm at my desk...the reason I love to sit at my computer, but don't always get a lot of work done!!! Here's a closer look at most of my Tonner collection: And my doll cabinet...you can just see the corner of my sewing maching here...that's all you'll get of that corner of the room! My "small doll" collection is mostly Silkstones, with a handful of Fashion Royalties, and one special Tiny Kitty Repaint by Vin...she's sitting on the bench in front here on top of a dresser that holds fabric: One more little display in the room holds the rest of my collection on the wall above my printer behind my desk: I redress and rearrange my dolls a couple times a year, so my displays change. I like to move them around so that they all get "equal" viewing time in the cabinet before the year is over! Thankfully, my girls are very interested in dolls, and my 8-year-old sets up little dioramas with her Barbies on her bedroom shelf and leaves them up on display, too. Like most little girls, they love dressing up and having fun...here is a parting shot of them having a blast as "pirate girls" !! I love being part of Doll Divas, and although I'm not much of a talker here, I LOVE all the good sharing that goes on here! My New Year's resolution is usually to try to contribute here on a more regular basis, and maybe some year I will follow through! I feel like so many of you are good friends...I can't imagine not being part of this community...what if I had decided against buying Lisette?? Hmmmmm...I think that about wraps it up!
