In celebration of Barbie's 50th this year, we will be (msg) (updated 11-05-09)

honoring Barbie throughout the year. Barbie is the one who got many of us started on our doll collecting hobby, we want to give her a nod and thank her for her inspiration. We will try to spotlight Barbie in a photo at least once a week, we will also include several Barbie photo themes throughout the year. And once a month, we will choose, at random, a winner from all the Barbie photo postings for that month. We have some wonderful prizes to give away, including a Barbie repaint by Heidi of Vamps-n-Vixens dressed in a fashion by Gwen of Gwendolyns Treasures(April contest), a Silkstone repaint by Jon/Pinkman dressed in a Tallulahbelle fashion(Birthday celebration), a Randall Craig poodle (Sept), a fashion created by Hilda (Aug), NRFB barbie keychains(Birthday celebration), Ken dressed in a Tux(February), Then and Now Barbie (July), 50th Anniversary Barbie (March), a pink and black Silhouette gown from Mattel(April), My Favorite Barbie 1959 (June), NRFB Trenchsetter Silkstone(January), NRFB E! Photo by Mattel! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There seems to be some confusion regarding the monthly Barbie photo giveaway. The monthly giveaways are our subtle way of encouraging more Barbie photos on the board. We hope to see Barbie incorporated into the photo themes, not just the Barbie specific photo themes, and we hope folks would feel free to post Barbie pics just because they feel like it. You don't need to label your Barbie post as a contest entry, just post as usual. We still want to see all the other dolls as well, Doll Divas is a board about all fashion dolls, we love to see photos of Fashion Royalty, Avant Guard, Momoko, Susie, Sybs, Nari Pon, Misaki, NuFace, etc., the list goes on and on. We were just hoping to see Barbie sprinkled in there as well, that was our 'idea' behind celebrating Barbie this year.
