Ta, that was loverly,
worked wonderful as a lullaby to send me to sleep last night
concluding/closing an equally lovely return-from-long-holidays-garden-party.
Slept like a lamb despite jet-lag,
red wine might have helped too .

P.S.
When/while visiting my mom she took me to a sing along in the village hall, where a very fit & good looking 70 year old bloke from the neighbouring village entertained us for almost three hours playing a variety of songs. I sat quite close to him and observed that he used only a few most basic guitar chords, but with change of rhythm & by changing from simple plucking to stroking/hitting the strings according to genre/country an amazing atmosphere was created.
Simply stunning stuff & a wonderful time was had by all.

Reminds me of the joke concerning a bass guitarist who was known/famous for only having two strings on his guitar.
When asked during an interview about the two-string-thing he answered,
'well you do need a second string, in case one breaks'

12 strings, no different to play than 6.
To play Koyenbaba you have to tune one's measly 6 strings to a C# G# C# G# C# E giving one a few extra oddities to think about.

Dunno what that little twit was doing, apart from massacring a guitar.

He's playing a guild 12 string (which are more difficult to play) tuned to AEAEBE.
None of that alters the fact that it's a great tune.

Nothing difficult about a 12-string, used to play a very fine Fender 12 string.

Seems like another skill I should expand on though.

'Spanish', (what do they call them these days?) guitar is the only one worth bothering with, as I've said before, the others are just toys.

The lad will figure that out for himself.

Re-tuning the Guitar poses no problem.

So many tunes....so little point.

Sorry pal, it's AEAEBE.
12 strings are more tricky in that you can end up hitting the high paired string if you're picking on a downstroke. Fingering is also more difficult.
And (pre-Fender) Guilds are the finest guitars known to man.

Bass note was an E 2 octaves under Middle C.

Main key was E maj.

Ah well, serves me right for not listening to the whole piece, although he uses the 5th string, indeed tuned to E,thru the early bits, later on it goes down to a C/B/A bass on the 6th string, indeed tuned to a low A.

I sit corrected !
